Disliked: NOTHING MUCH MAYBE A BAR AREA TO ENJOY A EVENING BEVVIE.

Experience of a lifetime

Liked: Everything was phenomenal, including the room, location, views, comfort, space, cleanliness, and hosts. Staying here has been one of my favorite travel accommodations and experiences.

No not for us- depressing...

Liked: heated towel rail ( even though we had to put it on but thank goodness it was there) and towels that were newish.
Disliked: Everything else. We wanted to run after seeing inside but it was a lot of money paid up front. I wanted to cry. How cld it b called Luxury Accomodation !!! This was a poorpers castle and there was nothing to make us feel like a good experience. Everything was cheep old and dingy and dark- not classy. Not good old world. Even the bed was well worn, the covers were ultra heavy, very old sheets. Very little light in the area of kitchen/bathroom/bedroom which is up another approx 20 stairs from a lounge area which we never used as up and down very tight stairs required. The bathroom was old timber floors with a bath. No shower just a hand held piece over the bath. The breakfast in the room was mainly long life packaged food. The place was so damp so the dehumidifier was on all the time and we emptied . The owners we only met a few times. Nice people. We have felt quite depressed after being there but luckily after the 2 nights we came across a lovely old manor beautifully presented and funny enough far cheaper.

Great place to stay!

Liked: We loved our stay. Our hosts were very welcoming! They provided such yummy food. We had a great time.
Disliked: We had a few bugs in the area. Only negative!

Most excellent adventurous experience!

Liked: The castle was an amazing experience! The great room was full of culture and history. The bedroom was gorgeous! The bed was huge and even had heated blankets on both sides that could be turned on separately. The roof top views were even better than on top of Arthur’s seat in Edinburgh!
Disliked: The only thing we wish was that we spent more time there to explore the grounds out in the beautiful countryside
