A disruptive noise forced our...
Liked: Location
Disliked: Around 12:40am, a loud, sharp noise suddenly occurred in our room, making it impossible to sleep. Engineering was unable to resolve the issue, and our whole family had to move to another room around 1:00am, which completely disrupted our rest.When we checked out the next morning, the front desk staff promised us that the manager would follow up, but we never received any call or message.We expected a higher level of service from a Hilton Curio Collection property. The lack of follow-up and any form of compensation was truly disappointing.

Very pleasant property and acomaditing...
Liked: Everything was very clean and orderly. The staff was very courteous and helpful
Disliked: The WI FI was weak in rooms.

Need some staff training
Liked: Pretty landscaping
Disliked: Poor staff communication. No where in any emails or face to face conversations during check in was anything mentioned about resort fees except a credit card “for incidentals.” And when I got card out to pay, she didn’t even verify which card I wanted to charge and just charged without asking. We also called down to front desk because we did not want room service , and yet when we got back to the room we had room service. We did not have any do no disturb signs anywhere like all the other rooms had.

Fabulous room & grounds.
Liked: Water views, marina, grounds, beautiful pool view, Palm trees in pots, spacious room , fire pits at night / Marriott, rain head in shower, Molton Brown products, delicious food / dinners. Super friendly staff.

Bad. I was double charged...
Disliked: Faro Blanco charged me an extra $185 in resort fees and sales tax when checked out. I had already paid the resort fees and sales tax to Booking.com. I was double charged!

Marathon Key Must Stay
Liked: The property was a beautiful Yacht Club ocean resort … the rooms were beautiful and the bed was very comfortable! The grounds and pools were inviting lots of outdoor activities! The Lighthouse restaurant, outdoor bar & breakfast cafe was a great complement to this great hotel !

The location was okay but...
Liked: The food at the restaurant was very good and the staff there were wonderful. The technician that had to service our room was very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: We were very excited to finally arrive after a 6 hour drive. The young lady at reception could barely raise a smile on our arrival and was not pleasant to talk with which was a disappointing start. ( We thought maybe she was having a bad day but her demeanour was the same as we checked out. Maybe this job isn't for her ).Things didn't improve in the short term as our room's bathroom lock was broken, the safe had no battery, a light was out in the bathroom and there were items missing from the mini bar which we thankfully noticed and reported so not to be charged for things we never used. ( the engineer was friendly and very helpful and fixed the safe and light, but there was no replacement part available for the bathroom lock unfortunately so we just had to deal with that... not his fault ). Coffee machine wasn't working properly and with no spoon or coffee cups provided it seemed a strange inclusion to go half hearted with.
