Liked: The location was perfect for the wedding we were attending nearby. The house and gardens look lovely from the outside.
Disliked: The inside of the house - restaurant/bedroom was quite dated, there was no lock on our bathroom door, and it was not very clean in the shower tray and toilet.

Lovely hotel in nice grounds...

Liked: Lovely hotel and location. Nice comfy room with window which could open and good shower.
Disliked: Very quiet, no music in the bar and limited choice of drink. No atmosphere sadly. No food on Sunday which we were made aware of by contacting hotel prior to arriving. Gravel drive a bit noisy in the morning as we were in a room on the side where staff came into work in their cars.

Liked: Had its own gardens. Away from traffic noise. Room was good in as much as it led onto the gardens which was good for the dog.
Disliked: Dinner menu very limited. Charged £10.00 per night for the dog which has not been put on the booking.com website. No extras for dogs to warrant this charge and is one of the reasons I would not stay again. Very mediocre hotel with not a lot going for it apart from perhaps the price.
