A disaster.

Liked: Nothing to comment positively as the hotel was closed.
Disliked: The hotel was totally closed when we arrived around 7pm, without any warning, even though the stay was fully pre-paid. All doors were closed and the provided phone number did not respond, so we had to spend the night elsewhere.

Disliked: Owner going through some sort of mental/stress situation no staff & what little staff there are don't know what going on no chef in kitchen for meal on arrival & bar maid doing breakfast next morning total chaos

Liked: We didn't get a chance to stay
Disliked: Room had been double booked therefore we had to come home all the way to Cumbria no suggestion was given as an alternative place to stay.

Shocked and saddened hotel experience...

Liked: Room comfortableShirley on duty in the morning is always very welcoming and does a great vegetarian cooked breakfast
Disliked: Building locked in afternoon with no clear explanation as to why, had to check in laterLoud music playing in bar until 200am so got only 4 hours sleep. Corridors outside of rooms stank of weed when arrivedMost of the familiar staff were absent when arrived. Outdoor chairs on flat roof just outside bathroom window which has no curtain
