Should not be allowed to...

Liked: We arrived to find this place seemingly abandoned. There were no staff present and it looked like no-one had been there for some days. It was a pub but was totally empty, with no lights on. There was a vacuum in the middle of the bar, tv remotes lying on the desk and used sheets and table-clothes over the reception place hall. It smelled of damp. We couldn’t find a person on the premises. We called out with no response. The place seemed derelict. The grassy lawn out front had grass over a foot long. I rang the number on Booking and after a recorded response, we could not talk to anyone. I also left a message with no response. We ended up having to travel elsewhere at huge cost. This place does not reflect the values of Booking.com. It was if Health authorities had closed the place down. We should be entitled to get our money back.
Disliked: All of it. The ten minute walk around was the worst experience of accommodation in my life. So disappointing. We got no response from the place and nobody was there.

Pleasant

Liked: Unfortunately the hotel has been closed two week ago, but I was so lucky. I arrived at 00 in the night and in front of the hotel there was a friend of owner who waiting for him. When the owner arrived he cleaned a room and hosted me. It was very late and find another hotel was impossibile.
Disliked: I would like to know that the has been closed.

Disastrous on all fronts

Liked: The property was Closed for business and neither did Booking .com inform us nor did the property.Unforgivable We traveled over 100 miles and had nowhere to stay How can we possibly trust Booking.com again

Do not book, booking was...

Disliked: Hotel has closed, the building was locked up when I arrived. Booking was accepted and money taken. No answer on any of the phone options.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Liked: Literally nothing.
Disliked: Everything. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel and with booking.com. the hotel is a bnb above a pub in a grimey area of town. There were clearly people home as upstairs lights were on but the doors were locked, ring doorbell ignored, phone calls ignored. We arrived at the time agreed with the hotel and within their check in window but were not granted the ability to stay. Due to booking.coms policies we had to wait 45minutes for them to officially respond to why they weren't letting us check in, to which they responded '.' we rhen ended up forking out almost £400 to find somewhere available to take us for the two nights they should have done, which booking.com wouldn't comp. Avoid this with everything you can. Booking.com reviews are misleadingly positive. Tripadvisor reviews show what a horrendous place this really is. Do not book.

Liked: Nothing!
Disliked: We were trying to checking, found an open door which we entered only to find the manager passed out in the bar, breathing but would not respond . Empty booze bottles all over, half eaten food about and laundry all over. Totally unsafe. No one else around. We had to call for emergency wellness check. Booking was notified with no response. Once we arrived home booking responds with we can get ahold of property so told us to do it. I called booking and they still said we must contact property for refund. Booking will only give us 20 pounds unless we get hotel to tell booking to give full refund. How ridiculous! Booking takes no responsibility for who they allow to advertise on their site they just take your money shame on you booking!Please don’t book . Mi asked booking to take this place off the site but I see it’s says sold out!
