A beautiful place … loose...

Liked: Breakfast was fabulous… great choices executed beautifully… absolutely delicious!
Disliked: The only thing We didn’t like is that innkeepers chose to use scented laundry detergent and/or scented dryer sheets… It’s a risky choice because so many people have allergies to those and I and my husband I are two of them. It made sleeping there a miserable experience. It makes my eyes burn and run and ultimately makes my skin itch. So in trying to do some thing to make things better they actually made things infinitely worse. My biggest suggestion would be to ditch anything scented that they use in room preparation. Nothing smells better than clean and fresh beautiful sheets. There is no need to use any kind of perfume in laundry detergent or to even use scented dryer sheets. I find all of those perfumes absolutely disgusting. It even left a bad taste in my mouth.. literally! You have beautiful spaces, and wonderful people who work for you… but please consider how miserable those things can make people who are allergic to them, and don’t want them anyway.

Beautiful, clean stay with delicious...

Liked: Beautiful grounds and outdoor seating. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Spacious room, super clean, with a fireplace and balcony!
Disliked: Maybe I’m a princess, but I thought the bed was a tad hard/ uncomfortable and the down pillows are not a favorite because they go flat. I would just bring a few comfort items for myself. My husband slept like a rock and liked the firm bed.

Liked: Fantastic accommodations, attentive staff, and great quiet location, but still only a few minutes away from local attractions.Will come back every chance we have.

Fine Country Manor Charm with...

Liked: From our booking, and throughout our stay we experienced an "old world" grace and charm that is rarely found in our fast-paced world. The friendliness of the staff, including Nancy upon booking and Joy throughout our stay, as well as the personal handwritten welcome note from the owner, made us feel right at home. The facility offered an elegant decor with an inviting and fresh appeal, consistent with that of a fine country manor home. We were housed in the cozy guest cottage that featured a large room with modern amenities and our own back deck that offered a fine view of a lovely garden. The breakfast in the morning was cooked to order and also excellent. We can highly recommend the Fairville Inn without reservation whenever you are visiting this Marvelous Land of Mushrooms!
Disliked: What's not to like . . . . . . . . . ? Don't waste your time trying to find anything to complain about. . . . . it's not there. :-)

Lovely Inn near Longwood Gardens...

Liked: Loved having the gas fireplace and a comfy king bed. Breakfast was delightful. We could have in our room or in the dining room of the main house. We ate in the dining room. Nice chatting with other guests. Grounds are beautiful. Innkeeper was attentive and quick to respond...thank you Nancy! Lovely stay!!
Disliked: The guy above us could be heard pacing non-stop for hours. It was pretty loud. Not sure if a rug would help but should be considered. Really not an issue with the Inn, but with the fact that he couldn't sit still.
