Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel’s central location puts you just a short walk or SkyTrain ride from Vancouver’s biggest venues. It’s only a 5-minute stroll to the Vancouver City Centre SkyTrain station, making late-night transport a breeze. Food and Drink Options

The on-site Notch8 Restaurant & Bar serves up locally inspired cuisine and creative cocktails right in the lobby—ideal for a pre-show meal or nightcap. Room service is available 24/7, and the area around the hotel is full of late-night eats, from gourmet burgers to ramen joints. Breakfast is served late, so no need to rush after sleeping in.

Nightlife Options

What People Say

Guests rave about the location, calling it ideal for exploring the city’s music and entertainment scene. The staff earns high marks for being friendly and accommodating, and many reviewers point out the comfortable beds and classy atmosphere. The lobby and restaurant also receive praise for their vintage glamour.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that while the hotel is beautifully maintained, certain rooms show signs of age. Others mention that prices can be on the higher side—though most agree the service and location justify it. A few guests found the Wi-Fi a bit slow, especially during peak hours.

The Bottom Line

If you're headed to Vancouver for a concert, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver offers a luxurious, centrally located retreat that’s as memorable as the music.

The most comfortable bed ever

Liked: I loved the room and the comfort of the bed. I would rate it the best bed I've stayed in during all of my travel experiences. Lovely room, very comfortable, and had the appropriate amenities. The location is superb, right in the city center, and you can walk pretty much everywhere. There are shops near the hotel, the Vancouver Art Gallery, and the Vancouver Convention Center is just 10 minutes away. Also, loved their Le Labo shampoo.
Disliked: I think the hairdryer could be a bit more pro, like a professional hairdryer with more power. I would have loved it if there had been a continental breakfast option; going to the restaurant didn't seem very appealing, at least to me.

Not good enough for the...

Liked: Staff nice and good location
Disliked: Despite emailing to say I would not arrive on the date I had paid for but would arrive early next morning the hotel recorded me as a no show and my room was not available when I arrived early the next morning. A floppy shower head made showering difficult. Not good enough for the money paid. Staff were lovely though.

I expected far more from...

Liked: Good staff who overcame other issues.
Disliked: Valet pricing over the top, shower/tub in disrepair, elevators out of service, false fire alarms in the night and extremely poor communications in that context, fast checkout not accessible at the time, general disarray.

Great hotel but the pool...

Liked: The location, the room size.
Disliked: The pool facilities. The water was cold, the actual pool area was not in line with the rest of the hotel. It needs a complete refurb...I was looking forward to spending time there and the loungers were awful. The changing rooms are through the gym which is also awkward. Stayed 4 nights and had rooms done once and stuff was not replaced, ie tea or water. Was hoping for a bit of R&R just didnt get that. Also sockets no where near to mirrors so putting on make up or doing hair was a mission. As with all hotels poor lighting in rooms
