Liked: Fairmont is located at the heart of Victoria downtown. It is at a walking distance from all the attractions. For kids, there is miniature world almost within the grounds. Breakfast is expensive but good. Housekeeping staff are great.

One of the best

Liked: The Empress is simply one of the best hotels we have stayed in, having travelled extensively. It understands that 5-stars means excellent service in all areas and we saw that - from check in to room service to assistance with bike hire. It is also in a brilliant location to walk around Victoria and enjoy the harbour.
Disliked: All good - one minor point was the jacuzzi was closed for maintenance which was disappointing (for 3 days)
