Liked: A fabulous Victorian house very nicely decorated and furnished. Very comfortable stay. Good sized rooms. Nice private garden. Adjacent Government House gardens. The locality is high end residential. About 1 mile walk into downtown Victoria.

Liked: We had a wonderful stay at Fairholme Manor for our wedding! Sylvia and her staff were lovely and attentive hosts and helped make our stay seamless and enjoyable! The room was impeccable with high ceilings and an amazing bathtub. Breakfast in their dining room was prompt and delicious! The manor was full of character and the best was the sweet deer roaming around the property!

Liked: Central location. Historic setting. Scenic walking opportunity close by at BC Government House. Delicious breakfast with several choices. Easy parking.

Country charm in a central...

Liked: Centrally located. Garden and surrounding areas were idyllic. Deer in the yard was a bonus. Delicious breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful view from 2nd story.
Disliked: Lack of air conditioning made the room warm even with windows open. Provided box fan was not powerful and loud. Lack of screens on windows let bugs in. Luckily not too many mosquitoes. No blackout curtains, sunrise at 5:30 am.

Lovely stay at Fairholme Manor

Liked: Beautiful house with great views towards the Olympic mountains.Sylvia and Christina were excellent hosts.Our room was lovely, large, airy and nicely furnished. We enjoyed time on the balcony taking in the view and watching the deer in the garden.Breakfast was delightful with homemade cakes, parfaits and a different main each morning.Easy walk to downtown, took us 30 mins (we're in our 60s).Bonus was the Governor Generals house next door with nice gardens open to the public.
Disliked: The kitchen units in our room were showing their age and the kitchen tap was a bit of a mystery as to where was hot or cold. Minor things which didn't really bother us.

A lovely setting, first rate...

Liked: The breakfast was wonderful. We were fortunate to be able to sit on the front porch and were visited by a family of deer. A lovely experience and one we won't forget.
Disliked: The absence of some conveniences in the bathroom. Hooks for towels, a grab bar in the large bathtub. First world sort of annoyances but would have been appreciated.
