Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Pocatello

WONDERFUL!

Liked: I had to make a last-minute reservation to this hotel as the previous one I had booked did not have an accommodation with a walk-in shower or grab bars in the tub/shower combo. I was not charged any additional fee for my room as I have from other hotels. The breakfast was very good & the breakfast staff was attentive to checking the food quantity & keeping the area clean. The hotel was so quiet! I was on the 3rd floor & I never heard any movement from the floors above or in the hallway. The bed was so comfortable & the room was spacious. Although I did not purchase anything I felt the little 'marketplace' was a nice touch, so guests did not have to make a store run if they wanted a snack or soft drink! I was VERY PLEASED with the accommodation & should I find myself coming thru this area again, I will most certainly stay at this hotel again!
Disliked: I feel the pet fee was a little steep at $75 per night. This was a little less than half of what I paid for my room charge! I get that a fee needs to be charged, but I have NEVER paid more than a $30 fee for my dog. Since most people, especially seniors travel with their pet, I think the Hotel should be more in tune with the fees charged at other hotels/motels.

Disliked: Very noisy ventilation systemStaff gave me a magnetic sheet to put over vent - which worked. However the vent is very high and the only way to reach it is by standing on the chair in the hotel room which is on wheels which intern is very very very very dangerous.

Excellent property and beautiful location!

Liked: The location was perfect - great views! The lobby is warm and inviting. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a very nice breakfast and I liked that coffee and fruit were available throughout the day. All in all, a very nice stay!

Disliked: The property is not easy to find initially. There are 6-8 other properties that can be seen from the exit but this one is way up and out of view. Once found it is good
