Very good

Liked: The staff were excellent. The bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The breakfast was okay, but the plastic cutlery was terrible. In the UK, single use plastic is banned. There was a field study group in the next rooms, and they were making a lot of noise. I did complain to reception, and they contacted their chaperone. This should not happen. There should be rules in place regarding groups..

Great hotel!!

Liked: Nice stuff, clean rooms, variety of cable channels. Hotel employees were able to get us a room on a “whim” when we decided to stay one more night right at the check out time. We didn’t have to wait for check in time, we moved in about 11:30! I also want to thank hotel for being very polite about my autistic daughter who threw a huge tantrum in the lobby upon us changing rooms. I didn’t get one dirty look or one question. They all were extremely cool. The only small issue was the extremely cool water in the pool, noticeably colder than average. It was very hard to stay in the water.

Disappointing

Liked: The location was our highlight.. The hotel was close to a grocery store and take-out food. There was a nice park a mile down the road. Easy access to major highways.
Disliked: Compared to the Fairfield in Richmond it was OK. The morning desk manager here did not go out of his way to help anyone. It was painful to overhear his conversations on the phone and with guests. He was acting like he did not want to be there. I hope he is OK and not experiencing a family crisis.The furniture in the common area was worn. The breakfast had the usual assortment but it seemed like it was thrown together without much thought.
