Liked: Our room was beautiful and clean. Check-in was easy. The morning front desk associate was professional, friendly, and attentive. She warmly greeted us when we left and when we returned to the hotel. Breakfast was hot and we liked that there were different items on our second day. The bartender was professional, friendly, and patient when taking drink orders. She had a big crowd but maintained a smile. The bed was nice, the sheets included for the pull-out couch were very nice. All of the furniture and seating areas provided in the room were great. The lobby and other hotel areas were very well maintained and thoughtfully decorated. The hotel felt safe and I appreciated the outside doors that needed a hotel key to access.
Disliked: We were booked into a handicap accessible room without being told and was not what I booked. This caused an issue with the shower water running onto the floor and the floor not being slanted enough to flow the water into the drain. Resulted in half of the bathroom floor being wet and my daughter running into the bathroom and immediately slipping on the floor. The evening front desk associate was not very friendly, seemed annoyed both times that we asked for extra towels, I asked for a restaurant recommendation and she seemed annoyed by that, as well. After waiting an hour for the towels (we were out since we had to use for the floor/shower) we decided to just head out to dinner unshowered. We thought the room was beautiful but it felt more suited for business travelers than families staying more than one night. A couple of items to add to the value would be a much nicer coffee maker with real mugs (I was looking forward to making coffee in the morning but the machine was uninviting and the set up underwhelming considering the grandeur of the room), another trash receptacle with extra bags included, more towels included at the onset considering the number of guests, if the pull-out couch bedding could include a comforter and two pillows it would feel like a nice place to sleep and not an after-thought with just the one scratchy blanket. A good number of people were smoking immediately outside of the door and we had to walk passed them when entering multiple times. It would be nice to have a designated smoking area closer to the patio area or out in the middle roundabout area instead and a no smoking within X feet by the front entrance.
