Staff and hotel above expectations

Not a great place. Woulf...

Liked: The beds were comfortable and the location was central to stores, restaurants, and main roads. However, the breakfast was mediocre which meagre offering and our room was unclean. One of our pillowcases had dried food or cream on it and one of the bedcovers had multiple food or other types of stains on them. We called down to the front desk to ask for another pillow. The attendant said they would send up one shortly, but it never arrived over the 5 days we were there. In addition the dark blue carpet of the suite was not fully-vacuumed. We stepped on two small pieces of hard rubber or plastic (not sure what they were), as well as a couple of pieces of what appeared to be discarded food. And, there was a sticky substance (spilled drink or food?) on the top corner of the night table. The bathroom too was not clean. There was mildew all around the shower floor and railings; there was staining all around the sink drain; and there were small fecal stains on the outside of the toilet.In short, not a clean accommodation. Very disappointing.I should note that we did not use the pool or fitness are, so cannot comment on that.
