The Spotlight on Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Colorado Springs North/Air Force Academy

Mountain Views, Relaxing Vibes, and Easy Access to Colorado Springs Music

Modern and welcoming, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Colorado Springs North/Air Force Academy offers a peaceful retreat with stunning mountain scenery just outside the heart of Colorado Springs. Located just 7.5 miles from Pike National Forest, this hotel is a great base for music fans looking to mix concert energy with Colorado calm. Inside, you'll find spacious rooms with flat-screen TVs, work desks, and coffee makers—some even with sofa beds for extra space.

Why Concert-goers love it

Music lovers appreciate the hotel’s quiet location that still offers relatively easy access to concert venues in the area. After a high-energy night out, the fire pit patio with views of Pike’s Peak is a hit for winding down. Late check-out at noon gives you time to sleep in, and there's free parking—ideal for road-trippers or locals heading to a show. The indoor mineral springs pool and outdoor hot tub are perfect for post-concert recovery.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want comfort and space without breaking the budget
  • Solo travelers chasing a dream tour stop
  • Couples looking for a cozy weekend with mountain views
  • Fans needing downtime after a loud night out
  • Budget-conscious music fans who want great amenities without downtown prices

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no full-service restaurant on-site, guests love the free breakfast—especially helpful after a late night. Several casual dining spots are within a short drive or rideshare distance, and coffee makers in-room keep you going the morning after. Though there’s no 24/7 room service, the nearby eateries and grocery options make it easy to stock up.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more laid-back, it's a short drive to local bars and lounges in Colorado Springs. After the show, head back for a quiet night by the fire pit or a soak in the outdoor hot tub under the stars. It’s not a party hotel—but that’s the point for many.

What People Say

Guests rave about the friendly staff, clean rooms, and amazing mountain views. Many mention the peaceful vibe and relaxing amenities like the mineral springs pool. Concert-goers especially appreciate the easy drive to venues and the comfy beds after a night out.

Areas for Improvement

Some visitors mention that while the hotel is not in the downtown core, the tradeoff is the serene setting. If you're planning to party late into the night, you’ll likely need a car or rideshare to get back. Also, food options are limited on-site—so plan ahead if you're coming back hungry.

The Bottom Line

A peaceful, well-priced option for music fans who want a quiet, comfortable crash pad after a night of live music in Colorado Springs.

Overall good…they need to do...

Liked: Good location for our purposes.
Disliked: The water pressure is terrible. The stream coming out of the shower is so weak it’s difficult to get the shampoo out of your hair. We’ve stayed there twice, 11/24 and 7/25 and was the same both times.

Disappointing

Liked: The rooms were clean and everything was fresh.
Disliked: The guy working the night shift was friendly at first, he asked us why we were in town and we replied the renfair and it ALL went down hill from there. He couldn't figure out how to get us into our room that was prepaid so he had to call a manager to get help who didn't answer so he came back rambling about how the renfair fired him for being a creep and hitting on girl which he swears is a lie and he doesn't like rumors being spread about him. At one point one of the people in our group actually had to ask a question about breakfast to break off him tangent about the fair.

Colorado Springs Hotel

Liked: I like the location, the hotel is always clean and the staff are always friendly. We have been staying at this hotel every year for the last 3 years.
Disliked: I feel like the breakfast is not as good this year. Not a lot of healthy options, mostly carbs. I like the there are yogurts to choose from. The eggs were cold and the meat not so appetizing. Waffles are always good.

Great hotel in a great...

Liked: From walking in to walking out this was a great hotel. The staff was great. The room was clean, well appointed, and well maintained with lots of room. The area was full of stores, businesses, and restaurants. The views would have been great if the clouds hadn't gotten in the way. The breakfasr was above average.
Disliked: The ice machine wasn't working, and I won't eat powdered eggs.

It was nice

Liked: The breakfast options were really good and the room was big with a nice bed
Disliked: We had a king room that apparently is fine for 4 adults? Absolutely not with only 1 bed

Comfortable

Liked: Rooms clean, food was good, staff very helpful. Manager was great. Helped me get a cancellation from bookings.com. It could have been a nightmare, but thanks to him, it wasn’t!
Disliked: The $50 charge for a small dog, was way over priced!! Most dogs do nothing but sleep in the room, including ours. Because of the charge we will not stay at these hotels again.
