Though there was the discrepancy regarding my credit card, for the most part the customer service was good. The hotel was quiet, clean and in a good location to the venue that I was attending and restaurant. They provided breakfast with a variety of options to choose from and I would definitely stay there again and recommend this place to others as well.
Liked: The location to the venue.
Disliked: I prepaid for the room. Upon my arrival I was asked for my card and a forty dollar hold was placed on my account without telling me. I only noticed the forty dollar hold when I checked my account and was given an explanation after I inquired about it.

Our stay was good but...
Liked: Breakfast was very good and hot. Location was good and close to UVA where my husband was having surgery.
Disliked: I wished we were told that there was a hospital discount when making our reservation the first night. We extended our stay several times and eventually figured out about the discount. When we asked would they apply the discount to our first few nights they would not do that and said it needed to be stated at booking. That was very discouraging since we stayed a total of 9 nights.

Poor customer service.
Liked: It was near good restaurants and the University
Disliked: Poor proximity to traffic, and the air conditioner was extremely noisy in the middle of the night with no way to open a window. When I made this known the next morning, I was only given an answer to placate me, not to suggest they were sorry or would attend to the problem. Very poor front desk, with no apparent authority or desire to meet customer concerns.

With a few tweaks this...
Liked: Beds were comfortable. Location is convenient to downtown. We were upgraded to an extremely spacious corner room. The staff were very helpful amd proactive, especially the manager who kindly walked me back to our room after we had checked out, so I could retrieve my glasses which I'd left behind.
Disliked: Parking and figuring out where to enter is very wonky, which is difficult when arriving late. Signage could address this issue. Breakfast was definitely underwhelming, though the coffee was good.
