Disliked: The front desk manager doesn't belong in hospitality. I spoke with him 3 times in one week prior to my stay. The first time he asked me to call in the morning because he just clocked in. It was like pulling teeth talking with him.

Good value and close to...

Liked: The room was good sized, and it included a microwave as well as a small refrigerator. The hotel is a relatively short walk to the Capitol building and the Legislative Office Building. Around the corner from the hotel is a deli, a liquor store, and several restaurants. Up the block are more restaurants, while around the corner is the Albany arena. A walk under the highway overpass takes you to more restaurants, including a soul food restaurant that opened a couple of years ago.
Disliked: The hotel was fine. One issue is the availability of parking. My friend drove down from Utica and had to park on the street. She was expecting an indoor parking lot. Internet access and speed is always an issue with hotels. This one was no different. Slow and sometimes intermittent Internet service was an issue.
