Good value and close to...

Liked: The room was good sized, and it included a microwave as well as a small refrigerator. The hotel is a relatively short walk to the Capitol building and the Legislative Office Building. Around the corner from the hotel is a deli, a liquor store, and several restaurants. Up the block are more restaurants, while around the corner is the Albany arena. A walk under the highway overpass takes you to more restaurants, including a soul food restaurant that opened a couple of years ago.
Disliked: The hotel was fine. One issue is the availability of parking. My friend drove down from Utica and had to park on the street. She was expecting an indoor parking lot. Internet access and speed is always an issue with hotels. This one was no different. Slow and sometimes intermittent Internet service was an issue.

Liked: The lobby and elevators were being remodeled, website did not indicate that hotel was being remodeled. The room was nice and spacious, clean. Lack of restaurants nearby

Liked: Nice hotel and well situated downtown! Comfortable and clean rooms and great staff.

Disliked: The hotel is under renovation, and they didn’t inform us. The central heating wasn’t working, and there was a very noisy heating unit in the middle of the room. I paid over $200 per night, and they gave me ONE bottle of water for 4 days; everything else you have to pay for. It’s a good hotel, but extremely overpriced.
