Good location but outdated facilities

Liked: Despite being near the highway (Interstate 95), room was quiet. Location is not directly on the main road (state highway), which helps with noise as well. Breakfast was adequate and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Also close to many restaurants and stores, including a large supermarket (ShopRite).
Disliked: Hotel is extremely outdated, especially the rooms. Check-in person put us right next to the elevator, which is not good for internal noise (realize this is convenient for those with mobility issues, which doesn't include us).

Liked: Location is great for us as my grandchildren are 5 minutes down the street. We decided to do a last minute trip to Washington DC with family. We planned on staying only 1 night but ended up staying 2 nights. What made our final decision to stay at Fairfield the 2nd night was solely due to how friendly and accommodating the front desk clerk Emma was. She is an asset to your business! Emma went above and beyond to make our stay both nights a very good experience. She provided us with information we were not aware of when we take our next trip to DC. Our original room assigned to us gave me a severe allergy attack. Emma reassigned us another room and continuously checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable in our new room. I cannot express how friendly she was and again how she is an asset to your business! Thank you Emma for everything and for being so kind! Breakfast was good however, small selection. Eating & food area was kept very clean.
Disliked: Rooms are dark therefore we did not notice until morning of our 2nd night stay how dirty the comforter was on our bed! It was black along the seaming and entire comforter was very dingy. Grossed me out when I saw what I slept on to be honest. The rest of the room was very clean along with the entire facility.

Wonderful stay with fabulous customer...

Liked: We have stayed in a lot of hotels over the past 10 years due to sports schedules with our children, and this was one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in! We loved the size of the room, the large bathroom, the cute shade that came down, the breakfast and the hospitality from all of the workers there
Disliked: If I had to actually pick one thing that went wrong during our stay, it would have to be that there wasn’t enough conditioner in the bottle for my hair! Haaaaa
