Fairfield Inn by Marriott Myrtle Beach North

We booked a room at the Knights Inn about a month prior. We were going to attend a show at the House of Blues and booked the Knights Inn because of it's proximity. When we arrived in Myrtle Beach, we discovered that the Knights Inn was not only under construction, but, CLOSED. We had to spend about an hour on the phone with ConcertHotels; however, when it was all said and done, they found us a room at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott at no charge. In addition, they are refunding the money we spent for the Knights Inn. I could not have been more livid to find out that I had booked a room at a closed hotel; however, I could not be happier with the way it was handled. We attended the show and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield Inn - thanks to a good deal of hustle and diligence from ConcertHotels.com. THANK YOU!

Disliked: The smell of the room was horrible it was like a mildew smell, and it cause me to have to use my asthma machine. But that's the only thing other than that it was good experience.

Disliked: Very old hotel - in my opinion not up to Fairfield/Marriott standards. Looks more like an old budget motel. Beds were very uncomfortable, lumpy, and my feet were higher than my head. Bathroom was very small, bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way and no room to maneuver.
