Fairfield Inn by Marriott Deptford

Hotel was just okay. We stayed one night for a concert at the Scottish Rite Auditorium.

Liked: Room was very clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Public areas and elevator (yes, only one). The other was out of service. Common areas and elevator were dirty. Breakfast was advertised until 10:00, however at 9:50 they took away the plates and started to take the food away even though there were people in the breakfast area.

Liked: Nothing it was horrible
Disliked: Everything. It smells bad, the beds were broken, it wasn’t clean. Curtains had stains. All the furniture was outdated. Elevator had a whole on the ceiling. The walls were dirty. The shower curtain was ripped.

It was not the greatest...

Liked: Good location and the staff was great
Disliked: The facilities felt old. Bathroom had a bad smell and the plumbing wasn’t great.

Great property! Clean rooms, Awesome...

Liked: Property was very well kept! Plenty of parking! The staff was very accommodating. Ron at the front desk in the afternoon/ evening was awesome! He gave us a great recommendation for a great place to get Philly Cheesesteak! Very happy with the service and the room!

I would stay there again...

Liked: It was close to many shops and restaurants. It was clean and the staff was great. They were accommodating polite and helped us get rooms close together.
Disliked: I didn’t like that that there was only one ice machine on the first floor. Air conditioning was not great the second night.

Nice, comfortable and clean but...

Liked: The location was convenient for my trip. The room was a basic hotel room but clean and comfortable. Staff very nice.
Disliked: The breakfast could be better - items were not hot and coffee wasn't hot. Also - somewhere when I booked the hotel I totally missed the area which indicates you need to pay for parking. This was a total surprise since this is not located in a city and it also is next to a Pizzaria Uno. I booked this hotel thru Booking.com so perhaps that is why I was not aware of the parking charge. Looking at my credit card charges, I see two additional charges for the same day which I don't know what they are for - one would be parking I assume. I do have to call and ask.

Liked: The breakfast every morning was delicious - lots of choices, clean. The staff was terrific, everyone said hello and was friendly. Parking was plentiful. Towels comfortable. The bed was comfortable. We would stay there again.
Disliked: There was no metal bar to hang the toiler paper on. Maintenance came right away to fix it but it was bent so we just put the toilet paper on the sink counter. The safe would not work. Maintenance could not fix it so we took our few valuables with us when we left. The tub floor was slippery - always an issue with us when we travel because we are elderly. Bars around the tub are important to help us get in and out of the tub. WiFi was a little iffy.

Great Staff and very clean...

Liked: A shout out to all the ladies we encounter while we stayed here. From the front desk ladies to the housekeeping and food server. They were all very polite and friendly. The ladies at the front desk were ready to help with any issues and went the extra mile. Thank you! It really made a difference, it made our stay extra comfortable. God bless you.
