I would probably book at this hotel again but I found the staff to be a little rude and unable to deal with the increased demand of guests from the concert. I felt this way in general, however. The whole town itself did not handle the increased population from the concert. Dominos quoted us a 2 hour delay in the delivery of pizza after the concert and parking/traffic in downtown Bangor was not handled well.
Liked: The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.
Disliked: Check in time was 1pm and we were traveling 6 hrs to get there so we did not arrive until 4pm and our room was still not ready. They said they were backed up because of the concert. When we arrived at our room it was out of toilet paper and it took at least an hour for toilet paper to be delivered to our room.

Liked: The breakfast was grab and go because of the virus but it was good. The room was clean.
Disliked: We weren?t informed that the pool was closed and we also were informed that they were having renovations done. They were working on the same floor we stayed on so there was a bad paint smell and lots of banging.

Customer service exceeds the actual...
Liked: The young man at the front desk was more than happy to help when we had an issue with our room. I believe his name was David.
Disliked: Our original room was on the first floor of the hotel and it had an overwhelming smell of mildew. After sitting in the room for a few minutes we all starting getting headaches and had to ask for the room to be changed. The second room we got was much better than the first as far as smell, but there was a spill stain on the pillow case of one of the pillows. We understand that the hotel is currently under construction in certain areas, but no one goes on vacation to smell mildew and dodge awkward unidentified stains on pillows.

Liked: It was a good value. Nice room. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Was not aware that the pool was closed. One of the reasons I booked was because of the pool. We brought our grandson and he was very disappointed that we couldn?t swim after spending the whole afternoon exploring Fort Knox in the heat.

Disliked: it was under construction and was not told about it before hand. 7am on construction started on Monday the 20th.

Disliked: Not until after checking in and paying was i informed that the pool was closed and also the hotel was ?under construction?. Light bulbs hanging off walls, outlet plates off, smoke alarms covered with tape and messy hallways are just a few issues but yet I still paid $150. We will never consider staying there again and will not be using booking.com in the future

Very disapointed in hotel!!
Disliked: This place looks like a war zone!!!! In the process of doing the remolding it is a mess!!! I didn't know what I was driving into when I arrived. I wanted to turn round and leave. If wasn't for the hour of the day I would have. The rooms are very outdated. I have no idea how anyone could give this hotel three of four stars!!! Will not be staying here again!!

Liked: Friendly staff.
Disliked: Construction zone. Construction and driveway views. Staff not wearing masks. Construction workers wandering around w/o masks. Person restocking fridge not wearing gloves or mask, Bed skirt soiled. Dated decor. $50 for cat's overnight.

Liked: Afternoon Front desk staff on April 11 was exceptional. She was sweet, personable, got us checked in quickly and helped with any questions I had.
