Good but not great.

Liked: My wife and I spent a long weekend in Chesapeake visiting family. The staff was friendly and helpful, The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. There are numerous malls and restaurants within a short drive.
Disliked: The breakfast was not so great. While it was your typical hotel 'free' breakfast, it was below par. The so-called "free range" (dehydrated/powdered) scrambled eggs tasted like chalk and there were few options otherwise. They ran out of waffle syrup and the attendant apologized for the sugar free alternative syrup while saying it was a busy weekend?? While close to malls and restaurants, it is not that close to any major attractions in the area so expect to drive.

Liked: The front staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very much above average, with excellent choices and lots of them. Great oatmeal, waffles and eggs and breakfast meats. The breakfast hostess was exceptional and ran a clean and organized breakfast area. Housekeeping was superb!
