Extended Stay America Suites - Fairbanks - Old Airport Way

Could not recommend to anyone.

Liked: Comfortable bed, adequate space, appreciated the secure building.
Disliked: Outdated. Cheapest toilet paper, Kleenex, and garbage bags I’ve ever seen. Stayed 10 nights, room never cleaned. Vending machine on second floor practically empty. No drain plugs in sinks or tub. Simply an outdated facility.

Disliked: Did not like the racist general manager.Could not enter the front entrance without getting buzzed in. RED FLAG!General manager checked us in. He ‘Robert’Demanded both my wife and my identification. Understandable. My wife and I handed over our identification cards and also my credit card. While he was typing away at the keyboard.. I asked him why he was continuing to hold my credit card. Red flag! He stated that he needed to verify the credit card. I’ve checked in to various hotels. All the other hotels never held my credit card as long as this guy did.He finally verified my credit card. Before verification though.. he got upset that I questioned him. I said everything was okay.He checked us in and we went up to our room. We left the hotel to visit my mother. Upon returning to the hotel room was uneventful. While in the hotel room we tried to get the tv working. It didn’t work. I went down to the front desk and asked how to work the remote. General manager showed me how to do it. I tried to do it per the instructions given but it still didn’t work. My wife went down to the lobby to get hot water and mentioned that the TV’s not working. Five After my wife came back to the room someone knocked on our hotel room door. I asked who’s there. A man answered the hotel manager. I said through the door that it’s okay we didn’t need anything. My wife and I didn’t want any drama. He kept knocking. He wouldn’t stop. I opened the door door and said we’re good! He wouldn’t let me close the door. He said he smells something. He said he smelled something that smells like pot or something. I said we don’t smoke pot. He said he doesn’t believe us. He then said he needs us to step out of the room so he can search the room. My wife said she needed to get dressed first. He didn’t except that. He said we needed to step outside the room and close the door while he searched our room. I said ok but we’ll hold the door open while you search. He no!

Liked: the customer service was exceptional! the room was clean the decor was just breath taking . thank you Mr Robert for being so kind to me a total stranger as well as the two young ladies who works at the front desk. I will never forget this experience

Good value for price.

Liked: Good location and value for the price. Clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Breakfast was more a grab and go (muffin / museli bars).

It was a nice, clean...

Liked: The accommodations were great. The room was a comfortable size and having the kitchen facilities was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's location close to the airport which was very helpful. Shopping and a few restaurants were fairly close by.
Disliked: The breakfast was limited with basically oatmeal, muffins and some fruit/nut bars along with coffee, and other hot beverages. Adding some fruit cups, yogurt or fresh fruit would really add a lot to make a more filling breakfast.

I will stay here again

Disliked: Bed is worn. Room is hot unless A/C is on
