Management needs to improve this...
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: When we arrived at the hotel around 7:30 PM, we found that the front entrance was locked, and we needed either a room key or someone to buzz us in. This immediately left us feeling uneasy about the area. After a few minutes, we were finally let in by another guest, as the front desk receptionist was out to lunch—and unfortunately, there was no backup staff available. With nowhere to sit inside and the temperature outside soaring to 100 degrees, our group of eight—including three children and my mother—had to stand and wait for the receptionist to return.Once he came back, he asked for all the adults’ IDs, which was a first for us at any hotel. He then informed us that our room was on the fourth floor—but casually added that the elevator was out of order. Without hesitation, he offered a refund since we had already paid for the room. I told him we would look for another hotel, and he handed me a number to call for the refund. To be clear, the receptionist himself was polite, patient, and tried his best to help—this was not his fault. However, hotel management needs to seriously address these issues. Better staffing, improved communication, and functional amenities are the bare minimum guests should expect. This experience was disappointing and frustrating, especially given the heat and the fact that we were traveling with children and an elderly family member.
