Extended Stay America Suites - Asheville - Tunnel Rd.

This place is only a place to lay your head, which is typically what I look for when I travel to an out of town location for a concert. Staff was below average. Rooms were dated. No shampoo, just soap. Beds were not comfortable. Only a place to lay your head for a few hours if you don't mind the 10 minute ride into downtown Asheville.

Liked: Staff let me check in early.
Disliked: Dated and not very clean.

Liked: We had a room that was plenty large enough and the bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The room was not very clean when we first checked in. (bed crumpled, refrigerator dirty, surfaces were sticky, bathroom mirror was splattered and the tub might have been rinsed), but it would not drain properly. While showering the water accumulated over 4 inches and took over a hour to drain.It was our fault for not investigating fully how an extended hotel's housekeeping worked. It was not mentioned at all at check in and when we asked for clean linens, at times they were not availale because they were laundered at night and none ready at the time. Your survey and booking information options for reason for traveling needs to include "Medical".We are here because my great grandson has Leukemia and developed a very life threatening infection requiring months of in patient care. It certainly is not work or leisure.

Liked: The staff, their availability and the location.
Disliked: The entrance of the parking is quite dark, it should have at least a low light on the walls close to the Hotel sign to not disturbe the wildlife but to help the people like me that had to walk back at night from work.
