Extended Stay America Select Suites - Pittsburgh - Cranberry

Zero flexibility, extremely poor communication,...

Disliked: Made a reservation in advance for 2 nights. My arrival time got pushed back. Still was more than willing to pay for 2 full nights even though I was arriving late the first night. Received messages from the property that late arrivals were ok and were provided directions on what to do upon arrival. Then I called to inform them how much later we would be to give them a heads up (something I’ve done countless times with other hotels and there were zero issues). I was informed we couldn’t check in that late and that there was nothing they could do for me. Reached back out to the hotel more than once and still haven’t received a response. Considering we were in mid route coming from a different state it was definitely an obstacle trying to find another hotel so late, luckily the fourth hotel I tried was very accommodating. If you’re reserving and showing up on time, not needing any help from them in anyway, maybe this would be an alright stay. If you’re needing assistance or any form of flexibility or communication in anyway at all, I would strongly recommend you pass on this hotel.

Liked: The bathroom was very clean, and I was immediately impressed until I got into the rest of the room.
Disliked: Cable didn't work so I called the front desk, whom told me WIFI was an issue today, but the TVs are hard-wired, and WIFI has nothing to do with that. The beds were made with sheets only. I get that I didn't book a night at the Ritz but come on Extended Stay. Have a little self-respect. I know it's a long shot, but maybe hire someone that wants to work.

Liked: There was one girl who worked there who was very helpful and kind.
Disliked: They have a 2 burner glass top for cooking which doesn't get hot at all. The shower was disgusting and the shower head was corroded. The walls were filthy and they don't offer maid service to wash linens. You have to do that yourself at your own expense. The one girl (there were 2) who worked the front desk was never off her phone. If you needed something she acted like you were interrupting her. She was as obnoxious as a person could be. While we were there the fire alarm went off at midnight scaring us half to death and they offered no apology or explanation. Just an "oh well". Would never stay at Extended Stay America again.

Disliked: It was disgustingly dirty, there was holes in the mattress and chair, dust all over the night table, dead bugs on the mattress along with the eggs that might or might not have hatched, floor filthy, on top of dead bugs, the mattress had no mattress pad and was stained up something terrible, the receptionist told me that she couldn’t place me and my daughter rooms together which I believe she was lying, just horrible all around.

Liked: I venture to the area annually and I rate this stay the best this far. Unit was exceptionally QUIET considering it's location (just a berm and trees separating it from, i-79, and sits off the main road in the township. Unit I lodged in had a . bathtub full size refrigerator stove & microwave. Staff was polite and courteous.
Disliked: Recommend improved impaired/ loading access clearance at main exits (doors & wheelchair ramps )
