Liked: What breakfast?
Disliked: Bed too small for 2 people. Check-in took too long. Not sure what he was doing, but it involved a lot of typing. Not typical when checking into a pre-booked hotel. Not saying it was his fault; must be the process he was required to follow. The only place I was willing to pay for the night before the eclipse since I booked rather late that was within 20 miles of our destination.

Mentors finest crack motel. Well...

Liked: It was cheap, you receive what you pay for…
Disliked: A crack head acted as a door man……. He stayed all night in the lobby. It turned out he was staying there long term.

Liked: I didn't know they offered breakfast. Overall, for the price, the stay was surprisingly outstanding. We will definitely stay again.
Disliked: I'm 74. I like simple. I like uneventful. We arranged for a late check in on the phone the day of the stay because we stayed with family longer than expected. When I called, it took a long time to reach a "human". She was very nice, but said she had to try to find someone at the actual property who could help, and I was on hold a long time. When she came back, she said I was all set for the late check in. But she didn't mention there would be no staff to assist in my check in. It took us 20 minutes to get checked in! When we arrived, we drove completely around the building, looking for the lobby. The lights were dimmed and when we passed what we thought should have been the lobby. It was so dark, and SMALL, we thought it was just a visitor entrance. 2nd time around I parked to check if it was open. Front desk was closed. Literally, blocked off. I looked around. There was a phone on the wall, BUT in BIG letters it said 911, call for emergency. So I figured it was an emergency phone only. Several inches above the phone was a very small notice that to get checked in after hours, call a number listed. I missed the teeny notice. Should have had an equally large sign saying CALL HERE TO CHECK IN AFTER HOURS. Again, I'm 74. So I called the hotel number I had again. Was on hold (no human answer) for about 5 minutes. I hung up. Went back to the car. Called again. After several minutes I reached a person who did help. They explained the check in process. I eventually was greeted by a human who checked us in. The whole ordeal took about 20 minutes. I was frustrated, to say the least. 9pm. I traveled 3 hours, spent the day with family, and I was very tired. FYI, I was about to call another hotel when the person finally did answer the phone. So for me, I was not pleased. That being said . . . the rest of the experience was absolutely excellent! Especially for this price!

Disliked: This hotel was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. The toilet had a sewer smell coming out of it and I had to keep the exhaust fan running all the time to keep the entire room from smelling like a porta potty. There was nobody onsite to correct the issue or switch me to a different room. The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke. The beds were uncomfortable.
