Disappointed and exhausting!

Liked: Location-close to family that live in area.Did not get to stay here due to issues with their computer system closing out our reservation.
Disliked: We arrived shortly after 1:00 AM and were told by the front desk associate, Blair, that our reservation had been closed out due to a system audit. Blair was very apologetic and explained that he had been trying to refresh the system to reopen our reservation, but was unsuccessful. After sitting in the lobby for over an hour—after an 8-hour drive for my grandmother’s funeral—we were physically and emotionally exhausted.Despite Blair’s efforts, we had no choice but to leave and secure accommodations elsewhere. We booked another hotel in person rather than through Booking.com, as we urgently needed rest. This decision was made before contacting Booking.com customer service.We were later informed that to be eligible for the price difference reimbursement (up to $70.31), the new hotel booking must be made through Booking.com—something we were unaware of at the time. We drove to another hotel and made reservations in person.
