Extended Stay America Premier Suites - Oakland - Alameda

Nothing Fancy, but great location...

Liked: Fabulous view of the marina and Oakland estuary...nice big table and 2 modern office chairs which made working in the room really easy and comfortable Nice size refrigerator, free parking, The staff was very pleasant and very accommodating !. Also a small but nice gym with great views. Perfect location near conveniences. Finally,- a good laundry facility which we used a couple of times (super convenient but $10/load). Overall, given the location we thought it was an excellent value, and would stay again.
Disliked: The common areas are "well-worn" in general things could have been a tick cleaner, but nothing that offended. The water pressure in the shower was sadly lacking..Breakfast was packets of oatmeal and cellophane muffins and coffee - but that did not matter to us. I'd say the worst thing was the bed was not particularly comfortable - we usually stay at Marriotts and their beds are excellent, so we are used to that.

It was a good stay,...

Liked: Great view of the Marina. Plenty of walk/run trails. Really close to shopping needs: food, banking, and gas. The main strip was close and and had a lot of quite interesting shops and culturally diverse restaurants (Webster Street). Super friendly staff, and the walls were well insulated. The parking felt safe to use. The gym was clean and well maintained.
Disliked: The Breakfast was just sad. Granola bars and coffee. No hot food or fruit. Not a breakfast. a vareity of clientel that made it feel a bit like a transient hotel. halls and elevators rendolent of the smell of marajuana. As this is a corprate situation, the laundry room cost twice as much to wash and almost x5 to dry as the local laundrymat.

Not ok with the disrespect

Liked: The staff is the issue the manager is highly disrespectful and not respectful and unprofessional I don’t know how she’s in charge . The staff are very sneaky and not honest . There’s some nice staff . But the stay isn’t worth it. The hotel is ok it’s the staff and things that go on there . It’s very racial as well . I left that area because of it being so racially motivated and disrespectful with the staff . It’s not cool and other people have been in conflict with the manager she’s very rude and disrespectful.not cool at all .
Disliked: The sneakiness and dishonesty and how they have ulterior motive with guest personal matters and personal money and there maids are disrespectful. There are a few maids that are rude disrespectful and sneaky and not cool .
