Pleasant

Liked: I expected a bit more for the price. The rooms are really small. They're so small the TV blocks a third of the view of the mirror. A small island for eating makes it rather awkward difficult to reach into the refrigerator. It's obvious that this hotel chain tries to squeeze out as much profit as possible for seeing the customer to sacrifice comfort
Disliked: The air conditioner is so loud. And there doesn't seem to be a middle ground for temperature. The air conditioner is too cold. When the air conditioner turns on this a big noise of the motor kicking inI'm already paying more than $100 a day and this hotel nickels and dimes Me by charging $6 for improve internet connection. Had $100 a day the internet connection should be stable and fast enough for me to all this is conferences, or have my classes online. I shouldn't have to pay extra money for an internet connection that works.I stayed at the same Hotel in Houston, and the quality of the Houston hotel was much better, the lobby was much nicer and the room was substantially bigger.

Overall, it was a good...

Liked: The room was really nice! Everything was clean and usable. I didn't expect to have a kitchenette; what a nice surprise!
Disliked: They need to hire at least one more employee. The poor guy that was at the front counter when I checked in was being run ragged by all the jobs he was being made to do. He not only had to man the front, but he had to take care of every room issue that came up. That's just too much for one guy to take care of. It makes everybody have to wait longer than they should to get what they need. And some guests don't realize that the one employee is doing the best he can all by himself, and do nothing but complain and get angry, which is what the two people ahead of me that had been waiting for 15+ minutes were doing. Also, there was a strange tapping sound in the wall between the dining table and the fridge. At first I though it was just a plumbing/pipe issue that would stop in a few moments. Unfortunately, it was constant. All day, all night, all weekend. Earplugs allowed me to sleep fine, however.

Our Stay

Liked: The staff was fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. The area is great for shopping and exploration. In fact, walgreens-starbucks and a few other conveniences were within a few hundred feet! You can wakeup and get coffee as well as stock up on anything you may have forgotten! As well as the hotel providing pots, pans, dishes and other ?house hold necessities? that made the stay comfortable as well as keeping spending on food low as you could cook for yourself in the comfort of your room.
Disliked: There were some strange characters that lurked around the back of the property, harmless just unsettling. Also The AC blows extremely cold for a few minutes, shuts off and then gets extremely warm again in the rooms. This is a ?non smoking? property but it was not enforced. Our bathroom had an unsettling odor of cigarette smoke but I believe this may have been from the upstairs tenants as it only came through the vent in the bathroom. I have stayed here previously with my mother and her room on the top floor had no odor issues. My only other complaint would be that the sheets and pillows are scratchy, given it?s a low cost hotel I could understand and didn?t bother me much as I had brought my own pillows and blankets. That being said, I?d suggest an investment into fabric softener.

Avoid if at all possible!!!!!!!!

Disliked: Surley staff ,dirty carpet with paint like substance all over rug, AC would default back to 60 degrees, no water cups, no soap, toilet wouldn[t flush or drain, towel bar fell off wall dumping my itmes into toilet,( installed with inadequate anchors ,shower bar was hanging off wall. electric plug by bed was not secured to box and had no cover plate loose wires exposed.Window sill hadn't been cleaned for a long time ...heavy dust and dirt layer. No blankets and at 60 degrees that would have been nice to haveWe got ther late and were told this was the last room.although we reserved several days ahead and requested a street floor not the second story room in the back of the complex.
