Executive Hotel Le Soleil New York

Mediocre experience overall.

Liked: The room and bathroom were spacious, there was a spare blanket in the room, bed was comfy, I slept well.
Disliked: I couldn’t connect wi fi in my room, it was working only when I was downstairs in the lobby. That made me quite nervous, as I had few errands to be done urgently. Reception guy accused me being “not a smooth person” and clearly said that he is tired and just wants to end his shift. That’s completely unprofessional behaviour. He could just not to be working anywhere, stay at home all days long and never be tired then. Finally when someone came to my room to check on wi fi connection - he smelled weed strongly. I do understand that in NY it’s legalised and so on. But I m totally not comfortable with it inside hotel and in my room. And I m so happy that there are still countries existing with death penalty for drugs.

Amazing hotel in an amazing...

Liked: NYC is our first stop in our first U.S.trip, after a looong flight, we really needed to settle down as fast and as close to the metro station as we could. The hotel is nice, considerate with friendly staff, free toothkit , free bottled water, restaurant, cleanroom, comfortable bed. Perfect location in the center of manhattan. We didn’t have to walk far to where we want to visit, we were surrounded by food places, and it’s safe to hang out at night. I read the comments before booking the hotel room, and it’s all true. The shower could be better with stronger water pressure, and better pack your own slippers if you need them. And it’s better to contact the hotel by phone calls, as I didn’t get any response from their emails and WhatsApp. Hope you have a good memory at this city and this hotel as we did.

Quiet, comfortable, friendly staff, and...

Liked: A lovely stay! The room was clean, extremely quiet (like completely silent despite being in a bustling area), bed was very comfortable, shower was good, and the AC worked very well and was relatively quiet. They provided a robe (though no slippers) too. The staff were very friendly, kind, and helpful, including getting us into our room early before the check-in time and arranging a slightly later check out time, recommending restaurants, etc. The lobby also had a nice little fireplace and seating area for hanging out. Location was perfect for exploring NYC, being in the bustle but not in the crowded touristy parts, but easily accessible to go all over the city. Subway stop was close by. Would definitely stay here again!
Disliked: Only thing was that the room was very small. I know square footage was stated but the room felt smaller - there was almost no room to walk around. Bathroom was a good size though and NYC rooms tend to be small in general. Still a lovely stay despite this.
