One of the best price...
Liked: Surprisingly pleasant and much better hotel than what you would expect in this price range. (Thank you very much for upgrading my room!
Disliked: Nothing major.Wouldn't be fair to have expectation for services that you can only get in a higher class hotel.

Good value, great location
Liked: Great location, near the beautiful beach. Convenient two-bedroom suite with kitchenette - great for families! Nice and helpful staff.
Disliked: We stayed there twice (in the same suite!), a year ago and very recently. The stove in the kitchenette wasn't working properly both times. Still managed to cook some fritattas there. :)

It wasa
Liked: The location was prime. I always felt safe- single mom traveling with my beautiful 12yr old daughter, my flight arrived 4hrs earlier than I thought and our room was available upon arrival, the rooms are serviced every 3 days but the house keepers asked if we needed any thing and took our trash every day.
Disliked: There was a roof top pool advertised but there was no pool at all.

Pest Control is Desperately Needed...
Liked: Good things about the hotel:- Great location, 3-minute walk to Kuhio beach in Waikiki, good restaurants and shops nearby- Spacious room, like the balcony- Comfy bed- The stove and the microwave is a plus- Front desk staff are friendly, helpful and responsive
Disliked: Minor issues:- Facilities look dated- Only one liftMajor issue:I stayed in room 609 for two nights and it was over USD100 per night. There was a substantial pest issue: the German cockroaches (both infants and adults) were spotted on the table, the stove and the bathroom. One of them crawled up my foot in the bathroom. As much as I am not scared of them, it was hardly a comfortable experience. I reported to the front desk after the first night. The hotel staff was nice and helpful: she suggested to send the cleaners to deep clean my room or to change the room in the afternoon. As I already had a set plan, I opted for the first one. However, late in the second night and the next morning, I saw more cockroaches. During my stay, there were at least 9 cockroaches sighted. It had become a huge frustration for me as well as for the hotel staff. The hotel needs to do proper pest control or the effort by the front line staff (front desk and cleaners) will only be in vain. It is also rather disappointing too, as the hotel has so much to offer and the price for the room is not exactly at the low end. I did my research and I understand that cockroach is a common issue in Hawaii. I do hope that there is a silver-lining and the hotel will resolve the pest problem with help from the professional pest control.
