Eureka Town House Motel - Historic Old Town

i won’t come back

Liked: Rooms were very clean.
Disliked: All rooms are up stairs, there is no mention of that in the booking report. If you require a wheelchair, walker, cane, crutches or are visually impaired the stairs are going to be a problem. If you drive an SUV or full size pickup, parking is very tight. There is no mention of a deposit being held on your card despite the fact you don’t have pets and don’t smoke. Never saw motel staff, pushed a “ring” brand button to get into the office to check in and to check out. I don’t honestly know if I spoke with a real person or someone AI generated. Being visually impaired it would have been impossible to check in without a sighted person. If management is going to spend thousands on this kiosk machine to protect employees, are you really in a safe area??? Still waiting for my deposit to be released, 24 hours after I checked out.

Don’t do it, It’s worth...

Liked: The virtual check in was very Bladerunner. No people on site.
Disliked: They required a $100 security deposit which took them 3 days to refund. This was after I had already paid for the night. The beds were old and uncomfortable. Power plug ins not convenient. Dodgy area.

Good

Liked: The staff was great. But we knew there was a lot of other things going on in the hotel.
Disliked: I thought it was a great deal for having two separate rooms, but there was a lot of commotion and beneath the alleyway beneath the window of the second bedroom. All day, all night.

My daughter really enjoyed it

Liked: The location how nice the room looks
Disliked: Walking upstairs and seeing the rest of the rooms with no space in between

Liked: It’s a clean, comfortable, quiet bare bones motel close to old town . Only a few small details lower the rating: no sugar for the coffee pot, one bedside lamp was not working. Jacuzzi tub was perfect. The owner is personable & helpful.price is good. It’ll recommend it .

Liked: I love Eureka.
Disliked: Hotel is a dump.

Passable

Liked: The location is within the Historic Town area.
Disliked: All interaction in the reception was online and I wasn't aware of staff anywhere in person. That gave people a creepy feeling. The room was too small to be comfy, maybe one of the smallest motel room I had encountered so far.

Exceptional

Uneventful and the price paid...

Liked: There was no staff, and everything about the check-in was remote. This hotel stay was more commodity pricing driven and should have been more price-driven since there was no staff and no value added.
Disliked: This place was a dump. There were holes in the wall in the bathroom and the hairdryer was dirty. No on-site staff. Check-in was virtual and remote.
