Throws you back to another...
Liked: Heritage building…
Disliked: Can be better maintained as it’s a lovely property and can be nostalgic

Historic is the right word...
Liked: I suppose I liked that I had a bed to sleep in and until someone was next to us, it was quiet.
Disliked: Buckle up--the list is long:*The room felt unclean because of all the scuff marks on the walls, ceiling, furniture, which included:--cobwebs on the sprinkler / water stains on the furniture / cracked leather seats on the chairs / black scuff marks on the walls and baseboard / stains on the doors of the bathroom / persistent smell of mildew in the bathroom that was pungent / pink stain on the bathroom vanity--Internet was sporadic to the point of not being accessible the morning we checked out--Roku TV was spotty -- for a few of the live channels the pixellation was so bad that the text scrawl on the news was fuzzy--Because the Intnernet was sporadic when trying to stream a film it went out 4x and the tv had to be rebooted--After coming back from a long day of hiking we found there was no housekeeping service--there was no "do not disturb sign"--the pillows were so poor (real feathers but that wasn't helpful) that I had to double up one to even feel like my head was lying on something--there were no extra pillows--there was no soap dish to put the soap, so it kept sliding on the vanity--when I checked in the clerk was eating cheetoes and he licked his fingers and then handled my credit card, photo ID and room cards--None of the staff seemed interested in how we were doing--no one greeted us when we walked by the lobby or made eye contact or even had basic inquiriesBut most of all I didn't like that I was paying just under $200 to stay at a historic inn when the amenities and cleanliness and attentiveness. I try not to be difficult but the lack of basic amenities, like even the option to not have housekeeping was really poor.

We had a lovely stay...
Liked: The hotel is lovely. A pretty building, inside and out with a pretty pool area/court-yard. The place clearly is of historical significance. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable, Parking was free, safe and plentiful. Breakfast was nice and included in the room price.
Disliked: The immediate area around the hotel looks and feels like an industrial/business zone with unsightly shops, businesses and fast food restaurants. That is a shame as the hotel itself is lovely, and clearly, of historical importance to the city. The pool was not heated and therefore not open.
