A hotel with charm and...

Liked: Didn't partake of breakfast so no comment.
Disliked: The rooms are definitely in need of an update, at least when it comes to lighting.

If you’re in to nostalgia...

Liked: If you’re in to nostalgia this place is for you. Decor is Victorian era and there are pictures of the famous who stayed, in the walls. Early jazz is playing in the lobby to help give you the vibe. The rooms are interesting..at least ours was. No a/c so be aware of that our window was open to our room though. Nice big bed. Very small bathroom. But tub is deep enough to soak. No lounge/bar Sunday,Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday nights. We were bummed by that. It would have been nice to have a cocktail in the grand lobby with all the previous guests (pictures). No restaurant on property. There is a patio and a pool.

Liked: Plenty of parking. Generous rooms. Good location for onward visit to Redwood National Park.
Disliked: Bit tired in places. Breakfast, although complimentary was not of a great standard or presentation.
