Very good

Not that close to Gare...

Liked: Sufficient for 1 night stay. I booked the hotel thinking it was close to Gare du Nord but it is quite a long walk especially if you have lots of luggage. Had to grab an Uber. I am glad though that there was an elevator in the facility. Also no ac but a fan is provided. The room size was bigger than most hotels.
Disliked: The hotel is old and needs renovation badly.

Spacious and clean family room...

Liked: Spacious room, appreciated side room for child, handy for metro and train stations, helpful staff, 11am check out
Disliked: Some repairs needed in room: hole in bathroom door, missing light cover, broken window lock; no air con or fridge

Passable

Liked: Great location for an overnight stay, especially if you need to reach Gare du Nord or Gare de l'Est quickly on foot. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Beds were comfortable, and the room we were given was spacious and suitable for guests with reduced mobility, with a large bathroom area. We also enjoyed walking to Le Marais and even the Louvre – both are within a pleasant walking distance. Plenty of cafés around the hotel.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the room was unbearably hot in July. Although I had specifically booked a hotel with air conditioning, there were only two old and dusty fans. When we entered the room, the heat and lack of air hit us like a wall. One of the windows opened only slightly, held by safety wires, and the other didn’t open at all. Since the room was on the ground floor, at street level, facing busy Magenta Street, it was very noisy, and we didn’t feel safe leaving the window open at night. The bathroom had no ventilation either. Most concerning was the visible black mold around the window frames and in some other areas – especially worrying for guests with respiratory sensitivities.Of course, I don’t know what the other rooms are like or how things feel during cooler seasons. I really don’t want to offend anyone – the staff was kind and helpful. This is simply our experience during a summer stay.
