Very enjoyable stay with excellent...

Liked: The hall is set in natural surroundings and is architecturally beautiful. The breakfast was good and the dinner was excellent.
Disliked: Stayed in one of the other buildings on the estate but wish I had stayed in the main house.

Not quite the high standard...

Liked: Grounds exceptionally well kept, wonderful flowers and mature trees. Interior decoration, original ceilings and other features, lots of top quality paintings, plenty of comfortable chairs. Restaurant food very good, staff friendly,.our room 9 was excellent .
Disliked: Doggy smell in the lounge. Poorly stocked bar. No fans available, not the best standard of service for our requests, no loo brush in bathroom! No explanation for being overcharged in restaurant, and unaware there was a 10 per cent gratuity, overcharge was refunded, when we checked out. Thought wine prices were sky high.
