Superb

A lovely place to stay...

Liked: Amazing location, spectacular views. The cottage was a good size with good facilities. Very comfortable but not too pristine that we would be worried about our dog staying. Staff were very helpful and the chef made ready meals from the deli were amazing.
Disliked: Was not expecting to be greeted by the peacocks ! But they soon moved away

Liked: Loved the quietness,the views, just sitting out on decking soaking in the peace & quiet.there was the Cockerell walking about and making their presence known,that didn't bother us at all

Liked: Location was beautiful, area surrounding the cottage with the animals was unique and fun, the cottage itself was nice and perfect for a weekend getaway
Disliked: Only thing I would’ve like is maybe a better tv, or a dvd player or firestick just to make that better but everything else was good

Disliked: The property was clean inside, though the interior is quite dated and tired. It’s worth noting that the on-site restaurant is not open for dinner—a detail we only discovered after making a non-refundable booking, which was disappointing.The outdoor space includes a patio with a table, bench, and two chairs, which has the potential to be a lovely spot to enjoy the views. Unfortunately, the area was covered in large animal droppings. While the owner cleaned the table upon request, the chairs remained dirty, making it impossible to sit outside. It was unhygienic and really off-putting.The property manual mentioned a covered bin for dog waste at the front of the property, but we couldn’t find one. When I asked a member of staff, she was unsure and suggested I take the bag into the shop—which I didn’t feel comfortable doing.We understand this is a working farm, and it was lovely to see the animals in their environment, but it would be reasonable to expect the guest patio area and furniture to be cleaned regularly. Unfortunately, due to these issues, we wouldn’t return or recommend the property.
