Liked: Beautiful quiet location. Staff were excellent and a cracking breakfast to start the day. Easy walking distance to Castle Douglas but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet.
Disliked: Watch the potholes on the drive. Property is under renovation. Rooms are tired and need some TLC. Mattress needs replaced

Liked: Breakfast was good apart from porridge. Could wear proper attire when serving food. Location was good. Arrived when farmer was spraying fields, which gave off bad smell. Just unlucky. Staff were great.

Liked: Very welcome friendly atmosphere. Location perfect and hotel lovely clean and had everything I needed. Food was absolutely delicious thank you. Would definitely stay again

A unique experience

Liked: A very unique hotel, set in a rural setting on the edge of a village. Beautiful views from the hotel of rolling countryside. The owner was delightful and helpful
