Modern yet cozy, Erik's Retreat offers a peaceful stay in Edina, just a short drive from Minneapolis’ top concert venues. With its boutique feel, garden setting, and spacious accommodations, this hotel is ideal for music lovers who want a quiet place to recharge after the show.
Each room is thoughtfully equipped with essentials like air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, coffee makers, and private bathrooms. Select rooms even include a kitchenette with a fridge, dishwasher, and oven—perfect for longer stays or late-night cravings.
Conveniently located just 5 miles from the airport and close to U.S. Bank Stadium and Target Field, Erik's Retreat is a smart base for concert-goers looking for comfort and calm after a night of music.

Why Concert-goers love it

Fans appreciate how Erik's Retreat is just far enough from downtown to escape the post-show buzz, yet near enough to reach venues like Lake Harriet, U.S. Bank Stadium, and Target Field in under 20 minutes. Free private parking makes rideshares or rental cars easy, and with a 3:00 PM check-in, there’s time to freshen up before a night out. Although the 10:00 AM check-out is a bit early, it’s manageable with some planning.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends needing shared space and a kitchenette
  • Solo travelers catching that once-in-a-lifetime gig
  • Couples seeking a relaxing weekend away from the crowds
  • Fans needing quiet recovery time in a garden setting
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who don’t want to skimp on comfort

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, rooms with kitchenettes offer DIY late-night meals. Nearby Edina has a range of cafes and eateries within a short drive. For those who partied late, grab breakfast at local spots that open mid-morning—a great perk for late risers.

Nightlife Options

Though Erik's Retreat doesn’t offer on-site nightlife, it’s within easy reach of Minneapolis’ vibrant bar and club scene. Prefer something low-key? Enjoy your favorite beverage on the hotel’s peaceful garden terrace under the stars.

What People Say

Reviews often highlight the clean, quiet atmosphere, friendly service, and spacious, well-equipped rooms. Guests love the homey vibe and find the location ideal for balancing city access with suburban serenity.

Areas for Improvement

The 10:00 AM check-out can feel a bit rushed after a late night, and the lack of a restaurant or 24/7 food options might be a downside for some. But with a kitchenette in many rooms and plenty of nearby dining, it’s a minor trade-off.

The Bottom Line

If you're looking for a peaceful, well-located spot to unwind after a concert, Erik's Retreat offers comfort, convenience, and calm just minutes from Minneapolis’ live music action.

Exceeded my expectations!

Liked: The property was well taken care of. The furnishings were lovely.
Disliked: I loved the staff. One of the team members walked me to my room to make sure I could get in with the code. He also showed me the amenities in the room and saw the TV instructions were missing, so he brought those and a fan to the room.

Amazing stay at Erik's Retreat

Liked: We liked the location and staff- everyone was super friendly and always willing to help/answer any questions we had! We also love that everything is run by young people with autism and that our stay directly supports them- everyone was awesome! Very happy with our stay.
Disliked: The only thing we thought could change is including a microwave in the rooms- our room did not have one. Very minor inconvenience, does not affect our overall satisfaction!

Wonderful mission & place to stay!

Liked: Eriks Retreat is unlike other lodging places Ive been to. The room was very clean, large & comfortable (Executive Queen Suite). Eriks Retreat had a warmth to it that I havent found elsewhere. Communications with staff was usually via text. They were very accommodating of my particular needs. Also, being a guest here supports a great cause. I definitely would stay here again!
Disliked: The city of Edina is presently doing road & other public works work. Parking was free but had to walk about a couple of blocks on a dirt/gravel road to get to Eriks Retreat from the designated parking area. Later I found out that they had underground parking for an additional small fee. I believe the underground parking is limited. Once the road work is done I think much of this situation will be resolved. *Guests are allowed to load & unload at front entrance.
