Weekend getaway

Liked: Great location right opposite the beach towards the quieter end of town. Great views over the beach and towards Southport. Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows to choose from. Very friendly and helpful staff that go out of their way for you. Free parking under the building, enter from Ferny Ave. You have to get out of the car to use the provided key fob. Had a nice large kitchen and full size fridge. The lounge was comfortable.
Disliked: There is very little water pressure and it just dribbles out and useless unless you turn the head to massager mode. Room smelt a little musty so we ended up buying a couple of scented candles to reduce the smell. The curtains rails are rusted and some of the retainers missing so take your eye patch if you don’t like the light! There is a handy folding louvre door room divider that does block out a lot of light too. Just needs a good dust as I don’t think it has ever had one. The ceiling fan above the bed speed is so fast it is noisy. I stayed here last in 1988 for Expo88 and not a lot has changed! I stay in hotels around three nights per month so probably see too many nice places. Would I stay here again? Probably not!

Liked: The affordability meant we could spend more money on exploring for having a cheaper place to stay which was still really nice and all we needed
Disliked: The lift was a bit slow and our shower wasn't great

Liked: View. Everything else was a health hazard full of mould filthy doors . Had to bleach and clean and disinfect before we could relax. Reported the unhygienic unit to staff who said “ it was old”
Disliked: All of the above, wouldn’t recommend this place dishonest advertising badly run down resort tennis court almost demolished Sauna out of order over all look grotty

Disliked: Tennis court was closed for maintenance, the mattress needed to be replaced. The gym could do with a set of dumb bells otherwise okay. A dumb bell rack for suggestions say 1kg to 10kg pairs.

Very good

Very comfortable two weeks stay

Liked: Our unit was pleasant and had great views. It was obvious that a few maintenance issues were outstanding, such as a light not working, a leak on the balcony, and kitchen cupboards not closing properly. Tne tennis court and sauna/steam room were not in use due to maintenance issues also. But despite these things, our stay was really pleasant.
Disliked: The airconditioning switched off in the reception area and walkway after hours as it was a very hot and humid time that we were there. Not enough basics in the kitchen, such as salt, pepper, garbage bags for waste and recycling (for foreign and interstate travellers, it is super annoying to have to buy such things and not have space to keep them after the trip), and a decent frying pan that was flat.

Superb

Liked: The location was great, as was the view of the ocean. The room was clean and well organised. Buses were close as was tram to get around.
Disliked: Only thing I didn't like was the dining table and chairs as they looked a bit passed its date. There was a constantant banging noise outside bathroom window on outside of building like something was loose which was a bit annoying at night.
