Excellent stay
Liked: Amazing building, excellent service from the staff. Breakfast very good. Comfortable and nice rooms. Would certainly stay there again.

We will never come back...
Liked: The location is fab. Buxton is beautiful.
Disliked: We paid £350 for a king superior room.We've stayed at the hotel several times in the past and although it's not always been perfect, the general experience has been good.This time is very different and the hotel is definitely got large challenges.First of all the check-in is chaos, we waited for almost 20 minutes without being offered a seat or a drink. The lady on check-in rushed as much as she could but was clearly very stressed.The room itself is very nice but was right next to the lift shaft which meant that we got almost no sleep. We reached out to the hotel ( at 18:03 ) to ask them to move us but our message through the platform, to which they had replied promptly in the past, was totally ignored. We eventually received a reply at 12:33 the next day!That meant that we spent the whole night listening to the lift go up and down.Finally, the breakfast was absolute chaos again. They probably had 30% of the staff that they needed to deal with the number of people in the restaurant.It was 22 minutes after we sat down, but we were offered coffee, and a further 15 minutes before it actually arrived.The breakfast when it eventually came was nice, but the overall experience was not.The hotel did reach out to ask how our stay was, and when I explained all of the above I was simply told "Your feedback is important to us and we will ensure that its shared with the management team......."Really really disappointed, not only at the stay, but at the response from the hotel after we voiced our disappointment.

Almost perfect just needs more...
Liked: Lovely spa facilities but lots of steps if you have mobility issues .Food was excellent in the restaurant. Lovely breakfast.
Disliked: Wasn’t clear that there was no parking on site when we booked. Had to pay extra £30 for secure valet parking. No soap in bathroom. Towels we frayed on the edges
