We were made to feel...
Liked: Breakfast was very tasty. Plenty of choice. Had to order the night before which is not always great but under the circumstances acceptable.
Disliked: Everything was as good as it could have been considering Covid.

Very good
Liked: Breakfasts were very good, with a good choice of both cold & hot foods, ranging from cornflakes or porridge, choice of fresh fruit and orange juice; variety of cooked items including toast, bacon, sausage, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and smoked haddock - and excellent sized portions. Tea making facilities were also provided in the room (with a choice of tea available if required) though not fresh milk.
Barbara (the landlady) was very friendly and responded quickly & efficiently to all our queries both beforehand and during our stay; she also provided some good recommendations for places to go for dinner and also wisely advised pre-booking, which we did.
It was also good to have access to private parking, so many places that we had looked at didn't have onsite parking so this was a bonus.
Disliked: Access to fresh milk in the room would have been good though it was a nice touch having biscuits available for our tea.
Although not an issue for us, it must be noted that all 3 rooms are upstairs and there is no lift, just quite narrow stairs - 2 of the rooms are actually on the 2nd floor - so 2 long flights of stairs, so would not be suitable for those with mobility issues - or heavy suitcases!!
The B&B is located about 3/4 of the way down the road, towards Cowes town centre, so if you choose to eat locally (a number of good and excellent restaurants to choose from, so why drive off somewhere else) it is a good 8-10 minute walk downhill to where the majority of the restaurants are - which then means a slow 10-minute "climb" back up the hill after dinner!
The extractor fan in the bathroom was noisy as was the cistern for refilling the loo- we could also hear the fan and cistern from the other guest's room which was annoying, especially late at night.
There were only Venetian blinds on the window which, although could be closed, still meant that the light came into the room quite early in the morning - looked like there used to be curtains so am guessing that they were probably taking down for Covid-19 reasons; also a lot of light came into the room through the gap at the bottom of the door, from the outside landing light, so ended up switching off the landing light after the 1st night.
