Decent

Liked: Great motel for a quick, cheap stay if you're planning on not being in the motel that long and you want to be close to the airport. I thought this was a great place to stay for my final day in LA. Meant that I could uber to Venice Beach and then walk up to Santa Monica Pier.I was impressed with the size of the room and facilities available (microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, hair dryer) for the price. I did like that there was a cold bottle of water in the fridge too! Two would have been nice though lolLoads of towels and toiletries available as well. After staying at a very expensive hotel in Miami which barely had any of the above... I was impressed. The Motel is run by a family it seems. The husband was very sweet and bubbly. The wife called me in the morning to offer cleaning and coffee, she was very nice. They were very accommodating in allowing me to stay an extra night at short notice, however, she did charge me much more for one extra night than booking.com offered. I wasn't going to argue so I just paid anyway.
Disliked: As a solo travelling young woman, the room didn't feel very safe... There was no extra security lock on the door. I did have concerns for my belongings being left in the room and on the first night I stayed I made sure to put the chair in front of the door.There was also constant music playing outside my bathroom window but that wasnt a huge concern for me especially after closing the bathroom door.The room was a little bit dirty... Some dust build up behind the bed and stains on the bed skirting as well. I did find a long black hair in the bathroom too (I am blonde). The fan stopped working after I turned it off and I would have liked an extra blanket as it did get quite cold at night. All in all though, it was decent experience for the price. I really just wanted to be close to the airport and close to Venice Beach for the last day of my 4 week trip and that was enough for me.

Great location but very poor...

Liked: The location is great, close to nice cafes and bars. Main room was fine.
Disliked: Bathroom was a real let down - not much care and attention taken with black mould around window and skirting boards. Cobwebs, the sink was coming off the wall.

Owners and place are really...

Disliked: Area is a good location but outside the property the homeless problem and street people are everywhere along with a marijuana store not far. Keep your eyes open if walking especially at night. I was woke up one Saturday evening with people screaming. While not a reflection on the owners of the property- just be vigilant.
