Hotel was beautiful, clean and luxurious and staff were very kind.

Emporium is Brisbane's elite hotel...

Liked: Emporium is a very good hotel by international standards and its location is nothing short of OUTSTANDING! There are some quirky elements ( the lifts for example) but that gives the hotel character. Staff are helpful and are obviously well trained and managed. We have now stayed here on 4 occasions and there has been no dip in standards and the bedrooms are still in excellent shape.
Disliked: Given the glowing reference above only two points (1) the hand held shower fastening needed to be fixed in our room and I told Reception about this on checking out (2) not a complaint, merely a personal observation, but the mattresses are quite "soft".

Liked: I liked the hotel’s location, and the rooms were quite comfortable.
Disliked: I didn’t enjoy the breakfasts — they were served in a café with a very limited selection, and many things, including a second cup of coffee, had to be purchased separately.
