Why Concert-goers love it

Emerald Inn is a great choice for those heading into St. Paul for a show—you're just a short drive or ride-share away from major venues, while avoiding downtown congestion. With free on-site parking, including space for buses and trucks, it’s especially convenient for group trips. Late-night returns are easy, and the motel’s location in a quieter suburb means you can actually get some rest after a high-energy night.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends road-tripping to a concert together

You’re also just a 10-minute walk to Maplewood Mall, where you’ll find a variety of casual dining options that stay open late. If you're rolling in after midnight, a nearby gas station or quick food stop has you covered.

Nightlife Options

What People Say

Guests consistently mention the affordable rates, convenient location, and clean rooms as highlights. Many appreciate the easy access to the interstate and downtown, as well as the quiet area for a good night’s sleep after an event. The free Wi-Fi and room appliances earn bonus points for making the stay more comfortable.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the motel is a bit dated in terms of decor, and while it's clean, it's not fancy. There’s no on-site breakfast or restaurant, so it’s best to plan ahead if you're craving a big brunch after a late night.

The hotel was pretty decent. We showed up early and they were able to get us our keys and had housekeeping get our room ready within 30 minutes.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Tonya, Lansing, visiting Myth St Paul

Liked: Walking distance to restaurants and local stores.
Disliked: No amenities; rough towels; dirty shower; no comforter on the bed; housekeeping came to ask us if we were checking out at 10:30 am (mind you, check out is not until 11am); large roll of carpeting sitting out in the hallway.

The hotel needs a lot of improvements. It feels like you're living in the past - it needs major improvements with the bed; the TV needs to be upgraded; the restroom also; there was no need for a microwave in the room; the halls were kind of dusty; elevator needs to be updated.

Poor - 1.0 out of 5

Heather, White Bear Lake, visiting Myth St Paul

Disliked: They called me at 6pm asking if I was really coming. I didn't cancel my reservation so WHY bother a customer asking if they are really coming? Very rude interruption during dinner. Then the rooms were really gross. Very old ugly and stinky. Not worth the $107 FOR SURE. Nasty!
