Liked: A wonderful location, very peaceful and nestled amongst the redwoods. The cabin was a nice size, facilities were excellent, heater worked well (it was a bit chilly even in spring), bed comfortable. Plus a great shower. For us it was a lovely place to stay on our road trip.

Very cute cabin with a...
Liked: I had a five night late March solo "scouting" stay in the very cute and comfortable "Suite" cabin (it is called a "Deluxe Queen Cabin with balcony" on booking.com). Front desk were all friendly and efficient, and there is a small store. The 400 or so square foot room had warm old-fashioned knotty wood panel walls, a *very* comfortable queen bed, kitchenette with a full-sized fridge, a coffeemaker (filter pack style, you can get refills) and microwave (no dishwasher). There was a big bath tub with a safety mat and grab bars (the tub is what attracted me to this cabin), a two-seater comfortable sofa (not a sofa bed so it was not hard), a two seater kitchen table, a wooden dresser, and a deck with two foldable chairs which I didn't use due to the rain. The best part was the quiet location right in the redwoods just a mile from downtown Trinidad restaurants and the big Murphy's grocery market. I expect that in summer, as there is no AC, it would understandably be more crowded and louder if sitting out on the deck and/or if one kept the windows open. It was in a good location in the park (private enough that I didn't need to pull the drapes). Heating was quiet (electric wall heater with a thermostat), allowing for restful sleep.I am a seasoned traveler so I came with extra supplies, just in case: I brought a small beach chair in case I wanted to sit lounging on the deck if weather were nice. I brought a big bath sheet to complement the basic two standard bath towels/hand towels/wash cloths. I brought an extra down blanket for weight (the one provided is standard i.e., thin) and an extra pillow I didn't need because there were four (foam), toiletries I didn't need as they were provided (wall shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotion).
