Good place to stay in...

Liked: Great location and price for the area. Nice amenities, breakfast, and cocktail hour snacks. Staff was all friendly but I felt they were understaffed maybe in the housekeeping department.
Disliked: I don't expect most pull out couches to be the most comfortable but this one was really terrible. My 10 year old just slept on it as a couch. Also, no sheet were provided originally. Asked several times, then had to just go get them from the front desk clerk, who took 10 minutes to go find some. "No pillows available though, very sorry." Oh well, it was just for a night so not the end of the world.

Liked: Lots of options for breakfast and food was good
Disliked: This property has 3 elevators. By checkout only 1 was working. The convention center across the street booked multiple large conferences/conventions and I don't think the property was quite prepared. It seemed the elevators malfunctioning was due to the overload of people. That being said, the staff had repairs people there and Nick, a staff member went completely above and beyond to guide guests through the staff area to help them get to the lobby to checkout.

Horrible experience

Disliked: We booked a two bedroom suite more than a month in advance. However, when we arrived at the property, they told us that they are overbooked and they cannot accommodate us in the suite and instead offered us a standard king room which is not nearly enough space for our family. I felt like they should have offered us 2 rooms for the price of the suite but they said only a king room was available. So we left and didn’t stay there. I will never stay at the property again or even consider staying there. There are other better accommodations in Winston Salem that don’t treat you like you’re a nobody and they force you to take what they have instead of what you booked and wanted. This is unacceptable. Plus the hotel doesn’t have their own parking and they don’t validate the parking ticket for a reduced rate at the garage.

Disliked: Parking was difficult. The garage adjacent to the hotel doesn’t have a functional printer. So essentially you have to pay $20 each time you park there, due to the fact that you have to select “lost ticket” to get out of the garage. Hotel was decent but seemed understaffed.

Liked: Close location to my work and the breakfast was very good.
Disliked: Entering the property was not well marked, very confusing. The entrance next to the parking deck is only marked with flags, there is NO sign showing entrance. The now closed entrance from the street is well marked but was locked. After we returned from my work, one young lady at the front desk did not know her surrounding area too well. Searching for a place to eat she was not very helpful.
