Overall very low regard for guest comfort. Resentful staff.
Liked: Breakfast was fine.
Disliked: Stuck in an elevator for 15 minutes while staff took care of the front desk. It wasn't until my friend threatened to call 911 that they finally came and opened the door with a crow bar. Poor service and no concern for guest safety.

This is review is really...
Liked: Breakfast was ok for the first day - - - then Marin county shut off electricity due to fires. There after the staff did what they could with cold food
Disliked: Hotel was undergoing renovation and unless i missed it in ad - didn't say so. No pool, no exercise equipment. Charged $10 a day for self parking and i was expected to pay FULL FAIR for partial amenities and put with renovation noise during the day.

Not worth the money right...
Liked: Staff was great. hotel still had power. Breakfast was wonderful.
Disliked: Hotel was under HEAVY construction . Husband and I was with my 4 month old evacuating from the Northern California fire . Spend extra to have a nice nighthere after staying in a run-down Motel . Baby has asthma and we had to walk through debris dust.

Liked: I wish I could say something, but as we arrived near sunset, and the property is undergoing renovations, we couldn?t actually see anything to like. The only bright spot for me was the night clerk that let me plug in my phone and gave me cookies and water while he helped me look for gas stations that might be open along our route north.
Disliked: Because of the power outages related to the fires, the property had limited power and services. We had no lights in our room, no hot water and the restaurant was closed. The hotel is undergoing renovations so it is bleak to start with, but instead of trying to make a difficult situation better, they just dug their heels in and blamed the power company for our miserable stay. In our opinion, they could have offered a discounted rate, but they were adamant that no discount would be offered. They could have offered flashlights. They could have had multiple power bars for charging devices. The ONLY thing they did was offer to waive cancellation fees, but after traveling for 8.5 hours on motorcycle, we were not in a position to hunt down another hotel in the blackout zone. Had they recognized that we paid for a room with heat, lights and hot water and given us a discount as some small compensation for our inconvenience, it would have gone a long way to build loyalty. Now, however, you couldn?t pay me to stay at this property again, and by extension, other Embassy Suites elsewhere.

Disliked: The hotel is under big renovation and you only see coverings all over. The fire alarm went on and on ask us to vacate the room at 5AM in the morning. Which we did then they made another announcements its only false alarm. Then while back at the room the fire alarm went on again announcing to vacate the second time!

Disliked: Made a reservation and wasn?t told they were in the middle of remodeling. Total of first floor was covered in plastic, felt like we were in a bubble. Was with our 7 year old grandson who wanted to have fun, needless to say....walked out. NO WAY was I staying there.
