Disappointed to have to pay for Wi-Fi and parking is expensive, but nice location and rooms.

Liked: The location to our meeting was less than a few minutes away
Disliked: Parking garage was across the street so was windy and raining and got soaked! The hotel is in need of major updates, very tired. The buffet breakfast was not that great. Our rooms carpet was in desperate need of replacement. They put us in a handicap room. So nowhere to hang our close unless we wanted them to hang on the reduced height of the clothes hanging bar. The fan on the hvac systems was vibrating on high so loud we had to shut it down. All in all just not a great experience. We’ve stayed in Embassy Suites in the past and this location hotel in downtown Des Moines was a major disappointment. On a good note, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would not recommend this one at this time. Renaissance Savry a few blocks away would be a better choice.

Disliked: bathtub in room 615 has nasty rust corrosion at the drain. yuck, not nice to see.housekeeping came late in the day, after we returned for the day.
