Our room was OK but needs updating. Grounds were nice. Not honoring our paid for room with King bed is a huge negative. We will be back as we paid for another night at a later date. Hope they honor our paid for room with a King bed.

Liked: Grill 29 bar service (Thanks Carol!) was awesome.
Disliked: Hotel refused to give us our confirmed and paid for room with King bed. Made my 6' 4" tall husband and I sleep in a room with 2 double beds. BAD!

Liked: breakfast was excellent and we really loved the bathroom
Disliked: we werent crazy about the living room and the furniture was very uncomfortable

Liked: The complimentary happy hour, the delicious breakfasts, and the convenience of the location.
Disliked: The people above us, they were heavy walkers, we could hear them moving around and dragging their charis around. Not enough light in the front room.

Disliked: We had to move room twice. The 1st room had a very bad smell of smoke & the smoke alarm was detached from the wall. The 2nd room also smelt very bad - even the porter agreed. We eventually settled on a room on the 3rd floor. It didn’t smell as bad - slightly musty. The room was dark and dated. Dark brown carpets that we wouldn’t walk on barefoot. The communal areas were shabby and needed to be refurbished. Breakfast was of poor quality- pastries were like cardboard. We had to enter our corridor via a corridor at the back of the hotel, it was dark and damp. Very bad experience.

Liked: The hotel is undergoing a large refurbishment and although our room was excellent, other parts of the hotel were just 'okay'.
Disliked: The refurbishment was a bit of a distraction resulting ion the evening experience being just adequate. We were offered an upgrade to one of the newly refurbished suites that meant our room wouldn't be in the middle of a building site. We think we should have been offered a free upgrade as we were completely unaware of the extensive refurbishments when booking several months ago. The room we upgraded to was really excellent.

Liked: Good breakfast. Especially the made-to-order omelets. Did not go to the pool.The room's pullout was too small and could use a better mattress.Electrical issue with bar light that did not have an off switch.
Disliked: Happy hour. Breakfast. Service and staff. Cleanliness. The staff kept us away from construction and noise.
