Embassy Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort

We book with Embassy because we like Embassy, however I can only give 3 out of 5 stars this time.

Liked: Overall nice room; breakfast was good.
Disliked: What made this stay a disappointment was the fact that we had no heat in our room for two days; we drove three hours to get there and checked in around 4:30pm, rested for a while and left an hour after checking in to see a show. When we returned to our room the room was cold, but it was late and we were tired, so we turned the heat up higher and went to bed; however, when we got up, late the next day, my wife was complaining that the room was cold, that's when I turned the heat up to 80 degrees but the room never got warmer than 69 degrees, that's when I realized the heat wasn't really working.... To make a long story short, we complained about the heat twice, twice the maintenance guy came and opened the wall panel where the heater is at and said the motor was sticking, shortly thereafter the heater stopped working again; after complaining a third time that there's no heat in the room the person at the front desk said there's really nothing else she could do. So the expectation was that since it was our last night we would just have to stay in a cold room even though the hotel was nearly empty, it eventually took the night manager to show up and move us to a different room.

Liked: Staff, service and location were excellent. The area and resort was amazing!
Disliked: The elevators could use some updates

Liked: Suite had full ocean view, clean and decorated nicely. We spent most of our time in the suite due to poor weather but the room and the entire facility conditions, staff and breakfast made staying indoors much better.
Disliked: Our room was not ready at check in time. We prepaid so there should not have been an issue with our room being ready.

Disliked: The maintenance is very low. The elevator was broke, and we have to carry the luggage all the way from 10th floor to the lobby down to the stairs. No one wanna fix the elevator. also the balcony sliding door does not lock so you have to watch the kids if you travel with family
