Embassy Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort

We book with Embassy because we like Embassy, however I can only give 3 out of 5 stars this time.

Liked: Overall nice room; breakfast was good.
Disliked: What made this stay a disappointment was the fact that we had no heat in our room for two days; we drove three hours to get there and checked in around 4:30pm, rested for a while and left an hour after checking in to see a show. When we returned to our room the room was cold, but it was late and we were tired, so we turned the heat up higher and went to bed; however, when we got up, late the next day, my wife was complaining that the room was cold, that's when I turned the heat up to 80 degrees but the room never got warmer than 69 degrees, that's when I realized the heat wasn't really working.... To make a long story short, we complained about the heat twice, twice the maintenance guy came and opened the wall panel where the heater is at and said the motor was sticking, shortly thereafter the heater stopped working again; after complaining a third time that there's no heat in the room the person at the front desk said there's really nothing else she could do. So the expectation was that since it was our last night we would just have to stay in a cold room even though the hotel was nearly empty, it eventually took the night manager to show up and move us to a different room.

Great location, great property

Liked: Great location, room was very comfortable. Staff was great. The only disadvantage is that pool is used by multiple hotels and all staying in Kingston plantation (we were not aware of this), so it gets very crowded. People line up at 8:30 am to hold chairs at the pool. I tried to sit at a chair that was empty, and got yelled at by person sitting next to it that she was holding it for her daughter. The buffet breakfast included wasn’t bad? but it’s same thing every day so after 3 days we stopped going.

Liked: Hotel was great room was excellent staff is amazing , but ya think the hotel bar would stay open past 10pm especially in a resort there was a wedding and 2 conversations 75 people at least in the bar nope closed her up new hotel rules
